Sasha Scene 4 March

Whoops, guess I forgot to upload the final version of a previous submission featuring a pencil test of this character, Sasha, doing a march. It was for a public cyber project by Don Bluth. Based on the test, I was given scene 4, basically the same shot, but this time with Sasha pulling a wagon. And with a panning background now, the animation had to be on 1's (A new drawing for every frame instead of on 2's)

Wish I had time to do more than just the basic loop, and maybe some kind of variation now and then, but I ended up finishing this last minut. Skipped going to bed the night before due to finish the 12 extreme drawings, finish the overlap for the ears, create the inbetween drawings, then another pass to add the wagon and string,followed by scanning all 24 drawings, fix small issues, line up in Photoshop, edit the background (inspired by the storyboard) to pan for 15 seconds, matching the exact amount the feet slide on the ground move. That was a long night! There's probably more than can be fixed, but I chose to not be late for the project back then.

This was my first attempt and decent animation, one of the surprisingly difficult things was making it a loop. Which means nothing could shift or change size over time. So 24 drawings later, it had to match up with the first drawing.

Again, this was for Don Bluth's Cyber Garage Project. Not sure what's come of it. It wasn't fully completed, so he might of worked on the unfinished scenes himself to create demonstration videos.
