I did this last year (new to deviant) so I thought I'd post it. I'll also post a new angle of it since it is half 3D. I wish I got around to doing another one, but that's why I joined Deviant, so I'll be more in touch with the art community and hopefully make me want to do more art.
The two characters are Sawyer and Danny from Cats Don't Dance movie (Turner Animation/WB)
I did pencil drawings, scanned them, traced, modified and colored in Illustrator. Built the 3D set in Bryce, imported the two characters like cardboard cutouts into the 3D set. Rendered the final image and did a couple final touches in Photoshop.
